Random Thoughts from the Editor

1. MicroPro decided not to award a product to one of the people who turned in a card, but to give it to CFOG to decide what to do with it. The Board decided to auction it off. So, your choice of any MicroPro product: 'sealed' bids by May 20 at 4 p.m., either (a) by mail to CFOG MicroPro Offer, Box 1678, Chicago 60690, (b) by phone message on our hot-line answering machine [312] 726-3555, (c) by private message to Benjamin Cohen on the CFOG II RCPM [312] 235--7902. This offer is open only to members of CFOG.
   
   
2. We're still looking for a summer meeting place. The Library isn't open on Sundays in June-August. Call any officer or leave a message on CFOG II or the hot-line.
   
   
3. An order is being placed for a West Wind Perfect XI 11 Mb floppy drive to back up CFOG II's 65 Mb of hard disks. When it arrives we'll be practicing what we preach: BACKUP!.
   
   
4. Egghead sells a plastic "Eggstra Arm" with a clip and some hook-and-loop nylon tape. You stick it to the top of your terminal and hang papers you are copying from. The hook and loop tape lets you remove it when you want to. I saw it at the Niles Egghead reduced from $7.99 to $3.99 . That's more like it.
   
   
5. Through the cooperation of the Hoosier Osborne Group we now have FOG CP/M disks 151 - 191 and updates of some earlier disks. Only FOG members may copy these at meetings.
